EUDR COMPLIANCE

Ensure your access to markets and avoid penalties

EUDR, the Forced Labor Regulation, sector-specific and national certifications… So-B-Green guides you toward tailored, stress-free compliance at every level of your supply chains.

The European Union has adopted regulations to combat imported deforestation as part of its European Green Deal (which stems from the 2015 Paris Agreement).

This measure aims to reduce its environmental footprint by targeting products linked to deforestation, which threaten the climate, biodiversity, and human rights, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia

The European Regulation on Imported Deforestation (RDUE) requires relevant European actors to prove that their imported and potentially processed raw materials do not originate from areas deforested after December 31, 2020, and that they comply with the applicable laws of the country of production.

As part of a process of identification, analysis, and mitigation, the relevant stakeholders must implement a due diligence system across their supply chains, analyze the risks of noncompliance, and put mitigation measures in place in the event of significant risks of noncompliance or confirmed cases.

After a one-year postponement, the RDUE will take effect on December 31, 2026, for large and medium-sized companies in the relevant sectors.

The Green Deal also includes other laws that will take effect gradually starting in 2027, such as the EU Regulation on Forced Labor/FLR (risk of being blocked at the border if your suppliers do not respect human rights) and the CS3D (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive).

In addition to legal compliance, certain industry-specific certifications have become essential and are increasingly required by your customers and/or by the relevant national regulatory authorities: Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, Organic EU, ARS 1000 in Côte d’Ivoire, etc.
